Our Mission

A group of East falls families have come together to fundraise for a centrally located safe playground in East Falls. We want local families to meet and for community to be created in East Falls. Currently families drive to many different playgrounds in a several mile radius, which leads to the community being separated instead of bringing it together. 

The goal of the project is to create a new, safe, accessible, and low maintenance playground facility for children ages 2 through 12 years of age that encourages physical fitness and development, social interaction, creative and cognitive growth and imaginative play. Our plan also includes an upgraded basketball court, new plantings, and new benches. 

With the support of town businesses, City of Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation, East Falls Community Council, Councilman Curtis Jones Jr. and local families we have raised$55,000 to date. We hope to achieve our fundraising goal of $15,000 additional dollars and break ground on this project in the September of 2010!

Opening Day of Playground at Inn Yard Park!
The new playground at Inn Yard Park’s opening day was a rousing success!  Everyone enjoyed the face painting, music from Ben FM, balloons and pizza! But most of all, everyone enjoyed the star attraction, the newly installed playground.  A special thanks goes out to Sarah Taylor and Jen Arnoldi who worked so hard to make it all happen!
