On the third Wednesday of December every year, the neighborhood gathers in McMichael Park at 7pm for an ole' fashioned candlelight carol sing. This tradition was begun 25 years ago by Wendy Moody and Rev. & Mrs. William deHaymen, and it remains the strongest carol sing in the city. Between 300 and 500 carolers come out every year. When the singing is finished, everyone is invited down the hill to the East Falls Presbyterian Church for hot apple cider and cookies as well as a visit from Santa Clause.
This neighborhood tradition has been enjoyed by families who have lived here for years as well as folks who are new to the neighborhood. See you in the park!
