East Falls Community Garden

About Us:

The East Falls Community Garden was started by a small group of East Falls and RAH community members with a vision to transform the vacant lot on the corner of Scott's Lane and Ridge Ave into a working communal garden.  After acquiring the leased space from the East Falls Community Council in February 2013, the group took off with big plans to bring the space to life for the East Falls and RAH communities.  With the help of the generous grants given by Weavers Way, PHS, and EFCC we were able to transform the site by building the 15 raised beds in March and a water catchment system in early June.  With support and interest from the community, the garden is growing in many ways including adding an "executive board" to help manage the garden in the areas of finance, design and implementation, events and education and outreach and communications.  Whether you are a novice gardener or expert, we welcome all newcomers to get involved with us!
